paint metal door how to

I bought a mental door at a going out of business sale. I clean it with soap and water.  It has a few small dents and some black marks. 

What do I need to do to paint this door?  someone suggested bondo for the dents, I have not used bondo is it easy?  what is the most popular back door color now?
