old bathtub

I have  beautiful old bathtub in my home from the 1920's.  It's rather art deco and has a overhead curtain rod that matches the sape of the tub.

It is in a downstairs full bathroom that functions only as a powder room (sink and toilet get used.  Tub never gets used)  The tub's interior is not in good condition.  We are about to replace the foor with some nice plank tiles that look like wood, so we need to decide whether or not to keep the tub.  My husband wants to rip it out, but I like its charm and want to restore it.

Do you have a paint that would be good to use on it?  The outside is fine, it's the inside that is worn.  It's a tiny bit pitted and the finish is no longer shiny like the outside.
