4x4 Wood Pumpkins

Submitted to Community Chat

Here's a fun, easy project to use up any 4x4 post scraps. I used Rust-Oleum spray paints that I had, applying a base coat first. Then I either taped off stripes or used adhesive dots over the dried paint. Next I topcoated another color, then after the paint dried, I removed the tape/dots. This leaves the base coat showing through.  I gathered some random sticks from my yard and cut them to about 3" for the stems. After drilling the appropriate hole in the top, I glued the stem in the hole.  Next, came some raffia or twine around the stem. Mine measured between 7" and 12", depending on the scrap size.

I'm still making them, I'll follow up with additional pictures!
