Acetone bath——->de-glittering

Submitted to Community Chat

I have done this de-glittering earlier with larger dollar tree antler deer heads but the resulting piece appeared too large and awkward to mount/repurpose into napkin rings.

These smaller silver glittered ones acquired yesterday - 4 on a card -likely they will be more appropriately sized to make individual napkin rings.

After removing bow and band -submerge and soak in acetone nail polish remover for a few minutes.
I wiped them with a Kleenex to rub off the loosened glitter and then rinsed them in some dishwashing detergent + water.
Allow to dry. Now they’re ready for a chalked or spray painted finish.

Do remember to retrieve your acetone back into storage and use it again and again- if -desired.
It will be contaminated with glitter.
