Question for our studio woodworker members or experts please.....

How many coats of exterior waterbased Varathane can I put on my tables for the final coat?

Is there a recommended restricted limit or guideline?

With my corn hole boards I must’ve put seven or eight coats on to seal in my handpainted design ending up with a wonderful smooth glassy finish.

The center medallion painted is slightly raised I was wondering how many coats of Spar Varathane brush on might be suggested for final sealing.
