Vintage Metal Icebox Makeover

I need help. I want to turn this icebox into a bar. Need advice on types of paint. Do I need to prime? It's metal has been painted years ago. No peeling paint or anything else.Inside is galvanized metal. Should I clean that and paint?

I am thinking of chalk paint with some type of stencils on the doors? Need advice. Also what about the hardware? Should I remove and clean?
