Suggestions or ideas to repurpose old unserviceable Cricut mats?

Has anyone figured out a good repurpose for these used and abused plastic mats?

Some of mine have deep heavy scored cutting memory “engraved” and no longer serve their purpose. Some are ready to split.

So far I’ve use them for transfer and staging trays.

I have tried to spray paint on them but the residual stickiness causes problems outdoors on the ground collecting undesirable debris.

I have used the acetate covers while using a glue stick as a surface protector.

Other than that I can’t think of much repurposing.

Its a nice plastic -try to- consider for another purpose. Any suggestions?
