Metallic Gold Painted Drawer Pulls

A friend of mine asked me to refinish her Grandmother's dresser for her daughter. She wanted it painted white with gold drawer pulls but with these kind of handles that lay against the backplates,  I wasn't sure how I would paint the pulls evenly and protect the painted surface for everyday use (especially with a small child). I finally thought of a creative way to paint them using Rust-Oleum's gold metallic paint, which covered the surface of the drawer pulls nicely, and I added a protective covering with the clear enamel finish.
