I've had this colander for about 6 years, as you can see it's starting to rust and the paint is chipping off. Because of this, I don't use it for it's actual purpose, but rather just to hold fruit (with a towel lining the inside). But, you can see it wearing out on the bottom of the pedistal on the outside too...which just looks yucky.
Lately I've been working on a project in my dining room and was needing a white pedistal cake stand or something of similar size. Then I noticed this colandar and decided to paint it!
I used Rust-Oleum Painters Touch Paint+Primer spraypaint in White Gloss to make this look colandar like new and fit perfectly into my new decor theme. (In fact I've used this spray paint on 3 of the items in my new decor). I'll have to share those with you sometime too.
