Another Successful Workshop in the Books!

Today was my second workshop out of the three I will be doing for the 2024 Maker in Residence at MADJAX in Muncie, IN. I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and with a lot of help and last minute changes we pulled it off! We originally planned to do a one hour stain and vinyl transfers. We tested it in March for the first time and we just couldn’t make it work mainly due to the dry time. I know that people want to leave with what they created and I totally understand that! I did a practice session again and Andrew (design lab manager) suggested we use Scorch Markers and/or Scorch Paste. I went home and started practicing with the marker and wasn’t sold on it quite yet. We decided on the paste and it worked! We applied the paste on a stencil, used a heat gun, and then stained the Recipe Boxes. It was a fun and informative afternoon! Thank you again Rustoleum for the generous donation to my workshop! I appreciate it!
