Dollar store tubs transformed with Rust-Oleum Hammered iron spray paint

Submitted to Community Chat

I needed to organize my walk in pantry. But I also wanted it to have some style. So I went shopping to try and find some cute storage solutions.

After looking at several stores, I found some cute hammered iron bins, but they cost $35.00 ea. I needed to have at least 10 for this project, so I decided to make my own using cheap Dollar Store bins and some spray paint.

I purchsed 8 locker style bins and 2 wire mesh style bins.

Then I purchased some hammered iron spray paint from Rust-Oleum and took everything home to get started on my project.

As you can see from the pictures, my bins started out a VERY bright blue color. But the end result was EXACTLY what I was hoping for...

AND

The BEST part is that the entire project only cost me $28.00. That is less than the cost of just 1 of the metal bins I had found at Potter Barn.
