New Chalkboard In My Kitchen

Submitted to Community Chat

I decided it was time to update my chalkboard with something a bit classier.  I had the perfect spot in my kitchen where it would fit.  I had a tall piece of wood that came from an old headboard, which I sanded down, filled in the holes, and gave it a good wipe down before applying 2 coats of Rust-Oleum Chalk Board paint in Black.  In the meantime, I spray painted some rope wood trim with Rust-Oleum Hammered spray paint in Dark Bronze.  From there it was hanging the board on the wall, cutting the trim to frame the board, and it was good to go!!!  Love how it turned out!

By the way....the 'Date Night' is on my Wish List!!!
