Kitchen Draw Makeover

My sister is doing a gut remodel of her kichen.  I did not want to see all the wood from her cabinets go into the dumpster, so i salvaged what I could, shelves, drawers, & some cabinet doors.  I started with a roll out drawer and removed the metal guides on either side and sanded down the entire piece.  I attached a dowel as a rod to hang items.  I wanted to hang a shelf, so I chose to matching blocks from my wood scrap pile and attached one on each side.  For the shelf itself, I used a lid from a wine crate, which I frequently get for free from my favorite liquor store.  I chose a light blue from my paint collection.  I also had a decorative piece of wood which i painted bright blue, along with the shelf for a pop of color.
