Question from @BoasCreations  Why is there a huge shortage of spray paint?

Answer from Rust-Oleum Team: Paint manufacturers across the nation have been faced with extraordinary demand for paint products, especially during the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. Meeting that demand has been complicated by a shortage of raw materials and supply disruptions caused by major weather events, the surge of the Delta and Omicron variants and logistical bottlenecks in the shipping industry.

That said, the situation is improving each week. Barring some unforeseen circumstance, we are hopeful paint products, especially spray paints, will be in ample supply in the coming months.

Question from @Vandura93:  I need a 5.7L engine code K with the most HP you can get. Can or has anybody printed or has a 3D printer been invented to print a 5.7L motor full size? I've made a small 4cyl that has moving parts pistons rods and crank, didn't figure the head out but I hope will soon.

Answer from Pete Gonzalez, auto expert and moderator in Rusto Garage:  First off, we hope you'll join us in Rusto Garage, Rust-Oleum's automotive community! I found this printer that does 3D print full size engine parts.  The max you can print with this machine is 11.6" x 7.7" x 6.5". Its relatively cheap at around $1,500 compared to the next step up which is $18K. You will need to have all the 3D drawings of each engine part to feed to the printer which is the tricky part.

Question from B.AmosDesigns1:  Can the Truck Bed Coating paint be used for insulation on the exterior or interior of my van roof?   I saw a YT video where a couple from Alaska sprayed the interior of their van with that paint and it kept them warm in even -40 below. I'd like to spray it on the roof of my high-top van.

Answer from Brian, Rust-Oleum R&D: First off, we hope you'll join us in Rusto Garage, Rust-Oleum's automotive community! Our Truck Bed coating would provide a minimal level of insulation - not to the level needed to keep an otherwise uninsulated or unheated vehicle warm in the winter. There may possibly be a slight warming effect from having black paint on the roof in direct sunlight but not to the degree of keeping someone warm in below freezing temperatures.
