Pumpkin up style parade 2023, first two are about finished

Trying to upgrade up -personalize some the plain Walmart and Dollar Tree pumpkins.
The first pair are (definitely) for the grandsons who enjoy bugs.
Shooting for a creepy cute look.
But not pushed to be too scary for their preschool ages.
Put on some more of that compressed cardboard I had left over to try to help fill out pumpkin ridges for a dimensional face addition along with some Dollar Tree caulk mastic to seam seal.
Mounted on a thin circular base because the facial features did seem to unbalance the pumpkins resting position.
Then painted the details with matte acrylics and spray sealed.
Decided to add a 3-D surprise element of some dangling bugs, suspended on thread and a Halloween pipe cleaner. Could be removable- slid off center stem if desired.
Additionally more bugs can be permanently attached about the head and base if boys approve.
Might do a htv label on the bottom but think these two JOL are about finished.
On to the granddaughters, definitely will not have bugs…..will update progress…..to be continued….
