Tinted Top Coat

Being a furniture upcycler I try to find little hacks to make life just a bit simpler. One of my favorite top coats is Varethane water based top coat (it’s under the Rustoleum umbrella) when I want just a touch of color to a raw wood piece of furniture sometimes I’ll add just a splash of paint to the top coat, mixing well before applying. I’ll do one or 2 coats depending on the depth of color I want followed by 2 more coats of just clear top coat. It saves me from an extra step and adds just a very subtle touch of color. 🤍
