Potential finger savers——> hot glue gun

Recently replaced my hot glue gun, while browsing options on Amazon I saw these silicon finger covers listed at various price points ranging from $5-$12.
This fingertip protection product is new to me - forgive me if -its been around forever.
Today I found some at Dollar Tree, they havent been tested yet, but it would seem to be promising protective aid. Normally I wear a thin deerskin glove. These finger cots would allow more agility, if they fit well and are functional they may insulate from the dreaded hot glue injury.
Sometimes you pay for what you get, maybe the pricey ones are better- will report back later when a hot glue project has been completed..
